Our first day in Tokyo, we decided to have a picnic in the park near our hotel. 
The garden is huge and beautiful. 
This is the Tawain pavilion. 
I have never seen trees like this before, with roots growing up out of the ground. 
The garden is a very old botanical garden. 
Amazing green spiders were everywhere.

These snacks were actually delicious. 
Something like New York’s Times Square, this is an extremely busy shopping area.
I had never seen anything like this before. The lights are incredible.
There are shops on ground level, and more shops and restaurants on the upper levels as well. The signs hanging outside the building advertise where things are.
This is the famous scramble crosswalk seen in the film “Lost in Translation”. The photos do not do justice to how busy it was.
A 30 minute train ride from Tokyo is an incredible Disney water themed Park. 
As soon as you walk in, there is a bay and a volcano on a mysterious island. The boats were part of a musical show featuring the Disney villains.
This area is themed around the movie Aladin.
This was a ride in the Little Mermaid land.
Through this coral, was more Little Mermaid themed exhibits.

It’s a great indoor theme park.
This land is meant to look like New York harbour. That huge ship is a restaurant.
Duffy the bear, is an extremely popular character in Japan. We had never heard of him, but there were souvenir shops with only Duffy memorabilia.
This land felt like it was steam punk inspired.
A very authentic looking Venice, complete with gondola rides.
She fell asleep on the way home. It was an exhausting day.

One of the most unique dining experiences we had was at Zauo, a restaurant where you fish for your own dinner :
The tables are within a wooden boat, with fish tanks surrounding it.
The restaurant was very busy and we had to make a reservation a week ahead of time.
Inside the boxes are smaller fish that you have to catch using only a hook, no bait. You have to sneak up on them and pull the hook into their mouth or gills.
So many fish, you’d think it would be easy to catch a few.
The bait to catch “Red Sea Bream”.
Unfortunately, we never caught any fish, and had to order off the menu instead.
Only in Japan can you find maid cafes.
In Akaihbara, we visited an eight story theme restaurant, the @home Cafe. 
The theme is “cuteness”.
